Children are divided into groups
(or rooms) based on age.
Except for the 2.9 starting age for the preschool room, these are approximations, which may vary slightly from year to year. Ratios of grown-ups to children meet or exceed the guidelines set by EEC, the state regulatory agency for day cares. Twice a year, parents meet with their child’s teachers for a formal conference at which teachers share their perceptions of the child’s growth over the year and parents share relevant information about their child. Special conferences can be arranged as the need arises. |
